Day 288-Throwback Thursday-RIP Chris Cornell

Today I am beyond saddened and shocked at the loss of one of my rock idols. He was a pioneer in the grunge scene and fronted such bands as Soundgarden and Audioslave. Lately, he was solo but had just done a reunion concert with Soundgarden. He died suddenly and unexpectedly and his family asks for peace during this time of mourning. He was one of my favorites and I haven’t been this sad since Prince died.

He was also in a band called Temple of the Dog for a while and is best known for songs like “Black Hole Sun”, “Fell on Black Days”, “Spoonman”, and “The Day I tried To Live”. (all of those were with Soundgarden)

Goodbye Chris, keep em rocking in Heaven-rest in peace.

He was so young too. It’s always sad to hear of an artist passing.

Wife says he must have accidentally taken too much anti-anxiety medication, cause he would never do that otherwise. They had plans and besides, he’d never intentionally leave his kids. Just read that today.
